2. Polycrystalline diamond powder is made of graphite through a unique directional sandblasting method. The shock wave of the directional blasting of the high explosive accelerates the flying metal plate, impacts the graphite plate, and converts the graphite into polycrystalline diamond.

Diamond powder has high hardness and good wear resistance, and can be widely used in cutting, grinding, drilling, etc. It is an ideal raw material for grinding and polishing cemented carbide, ceramics, gems and optical glass. Diamond powder products are components and tools made by diamond powder processing.

In terms of its particle size, fine diamond powder belongs to sub-micron, micron and nano-powder. Compared with coarse-grained diamond powder, the surface functional groups and surface area of ​​diamond powder are significantly increased, and the interaction between particles is significantly increased. In addition, with the refinement of the particle size, the particle strength will inevitably increase, and its own defects will decrease. It can be seen that the production process of diamond powder is quite difficult. It is not only a process of particle refinement, but also changes in crystal structure and surface physical and chemical properties. Therefore, the production process of diamond micropowder is a multidisciplinary engineering technology problem involving powder engineering, machinery, physical chemistry, mechanics, testing technology and modern instruments.
